Exploring Mechanisms of Resistance to Identify Potential Therapeutic Targets
Despite major advances with immunotherapy, many melanoma patients still experience treatment resistance. This project investigates the diverse mechanisms that allow tumours to evade immune attack, including immune checkpoints, metabolic reprogramming, and suppressive cell populations. By dissecting these pathways with multi-omic and spatial approaches, we aim to uncover vulnerabilities that can be targeted with novel therapies. The ultimate goal is to translate these discoveries into new treatment strategies that overcome resistance and improve patient outcomes.
