Laura Smith
PhD Student
Laura joined MIA in 2023 as a Research Assistant within the neoadjuvant platform, where she contributed to profiling the tumour microenvironment and peripheral immune system using multiplex IHC and CyTOF. Building on this foundation, her PhD research focuses on mapping the epigenetic architecture of tumour and immune cells in stage III melanoma patients treated with neoadjuvant immunotherapy. By uncovering key epigenetic features that influence therapy response, her research aims to help guide more precise and effective treatment strategies
